Idlib Launches the "Besida" Project to Supply Maaret al-Numan with Drinking Water via 24 Wells

The Water Authority in Idlib Governorate announced today, Monday, the launch of the vital "Besida" project, which aims to sustainably supply the city of Maaret al-Numan with drinking water, as part of improving basic services and enhancing water security in the region.

The project relies on 24 wells equipped with electric transformers and horizontal pumps to ensure continuous pumping and provide water regularly to the residents, especially in light of the environmental and logistical challenges facing the water sector in northern Syria.

The "Besida" project is a strategic step towards rehabilitating water infrastructure and expanding water coverage in affected areas, contributing to improving quality of life and enhancing community stability.
