Opening of the new pumping line from Banias towards Latakia warehouses after its rehabilitation and commissioning.

The Governor of Latakia, Mohammad Othman, along with the director of the Latakia branch of "Sadcop" fuel company, Hassan Abu Qasra, inaugurated on Sunday the new pumping line from Baniyas to Latakia warehouses after its rehabilitation and commissioning.

The Syrian news agency "Al-Ikhbariya" quoted Latakia province as saying: "The tank loading station has been activated to serve Latakia province in the first phase, then the provinces of Hama and Aleppo."

The province confirmed that the pipeline saves around two billion Syrian pounds monthly in costs and enhances the efficiency of distribution and flexibility in supplying petroleum products in the region.
