Haaland Sends a Strong Message in the Golden Boot Race: "Don't Forget Mbappé!"

The Norwegian star Erling Haaland, Manchester City striker, made a striking statement after his team's victory over Brentford with a score of one goal to none in the seventh round of the Premier League, confirming that the European Golden Boot race is not limited to his traditional rivalry with Harry Kane, but also includes the French star Kylian Mbappé.
Haaland scored the only goal in the match held on Sunday evening at the Gtech Community Stadium, leading Manchester City to a valuable victory that kept them just three points behind the league leaders Arsenal.
The team coached by Pep Guardiola is experiencing a period of technical stability, having not suffered any losses in their last seven matches across all competitions, following a shaky start to the season.
After the match, Haaland stated in comments to BBC Sport in response to a question about his competition with Harry Kane for the Golden Boot:
> "Don't forget Kylian Mbappé as well, he has started the season brilliantly. Both — Kane and Mbappé — are delivering amazing performances, so I have to try to keep up with their level."
Haaland has scored nine goals in the first seven matches of the Premier League this season, leading the scoring chart by three goals ahead of Antoine Semenyo, in his quest to win the award for the third time in four seasons.
On the other hand, Harry Kane currently leads the European Golden Boot race with 11 goals in six matches with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, while Mbappé has started the season strongly with Paris Saint-Germain, indicating fierce competition among the trio for the prestigious continental title.
