Griezmann Achieves Goal 200 with Atlético Madrid and Strengthens His Historic Lead

The French star Antoine Griezmann continued to shine with his team Atlético Madrid, scoring his 200th goal with the Spanish club against Eintracht Frankfurt from Germany on Tuesday evening, in the second round of the UEFA Champions League.

The third goal for Atlético came in the 45+1 minute of the match at the "Wanda Metropolitano" stadium in the Spanish capital Madrid, confirming his status as one of the team's top stars.

Griezmann, who is 34 years old, joined Atlético Madrid in the summer of 2014 from Real Sociedad, before moving to Barcelona in the summer of 2019, and then returning to Atlético in 2021.

By scoring his 200th goal, Griezmann became the first player in Atlético Madrid's history to reach this number, surpassing Luis Aragonés who scored 173 goals, thus strengthening his lead in the club's all-time top scorers list.
