A sudden malfunction on the "X" platform (formerly known as Twitter), owned by the American billionaire Elon Musk, caused a global disruption for platform users, as automatic updates for posts and notifications stopped for many of them.
Users complained of not receiving any notifications about new updates from the people they follow, affecting their experience using "X".
Reports from "Down Detector", a site specialized in tracking digital service status, showed a significant increase in reports of technical issues on "X" in the past twenty-four hours, with 63% of these reports related to the "X" app on smartphones, and 22% related to the website.
Affected users noticed that the homepage was not updating, whether through the "X" mobile apps or internet browsers, leading some to discuss the malfunction on other platforms like "Reddit".
The problem seems to be related to server downtime, as many users tried changing their devices, browsers, or even subscribing to the paid "X Premium" service, but no performance changes occurred.
It's worth noting that this is not the first time "X" has faced such malfunctions, as a similar issue occurred at the end of last April, leading to disruptions in the platform's core functionalities.
At a time when many believed "X" had overcome such issues with continuous updates and improvements, this new malfunction raises questions about the platform's ability to ensure service stability for its users in the near future.
