Erdogan: Syria is heading towards recovery and Turkey is cooperating with the new administration to achieve stability.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has affirmed that Syria is gradually progressing towards recovery despite the challenges and obstacles it faces, including acts of sabotage. He pointed out the ongoing cooperation between Turkey and the new Syrian administration to achieve stability in the country.
This came during his speech at an event on migration management in Istanbul, as reported by Anadolu Agency. Erdogan stated, "Turkey has embraced millions of Syrian refugees for 13 years, and we will not force anyone to return; it will be voluntary." He noted that "200,000 Syrian refugees have returned to their country since the fall of the Assad regime."
The Turkish President added, "We have continuous cooperation with the new Syrian administration, and we will continue until full stability is achieved," emphasizing that the return of Syrians to their homeland is increasing gradually as conditions improve, despite the difficulties and obstacles hindering the recovery.
Regarding the number of refugees in Turkey, Erdogan explained, "There are 4,033,000 migrants in Turkey, including 2,768,000 of our Syrian brothers under temporary protection," considering hosting Syrian refugees an extension of the spirit of Islamic brotherhood. He said, "We consider the migration of Syrians as the migration of the Prophet from Mecca to Medina, and therein lies the true beauty, to truly be a supporter, it is a great and beautiful thing."
The Turkish President also criticized Western powers that cause waves of migration and then evade their responsibilities, stating that they "disappear when it comes to burden-sharing." He reiterated his rejection of the hate speech promoted by some racists, saying, "I will not allow a small group of racists and barbarians to restrict Turkey by spreading hate speech in society."
