Due to escalating regional tensions resulting from missile attacks between Israel and Iran, Egypt has temporarily halted its largest factories, especially those relying on natural gas as a primary raw material.

The Chemical Industries Chamber of the Egyptian Industries Federation explained that nitrogen fertilizer factories have temporarily stopped operating due to the ongoing events in the region.

It is worth mentioning that Egypt has activated a special emergency plan for gas supply priorities, including halting gas supply to certain factories, increasing diesel consumption at power stations to the maximum extent possible, coordinating to operate some stations on solar energy, as a precautionary measure aimed at maintaining the stability of the natural gas network and avoiding the need to reduce loads on the electricity grid.
