Egyptian Mother Strangles Her Three Children in Cairo Due to Financial Distress

In a horrific crime that shook a luxurious neighborhood in the Egyptian governorate of Cairo, a divorced woman strangled her three children while they were asleep before reporting the crime to the police herself.
According to an informed source cited by "Al Arabiya Net" and "Al Hadath Net", the woman, divorced for three years, committed the crime in the city of Al Shorouk due to financial distress that prevented her from covering her children's school expenses.
The source added that the mother used a "necklace" to carry out the crime before contacting the security authorities and confessing to killing her children, aged between 6 and 9 years old.
The competent authorities moved to the crime scene, and necessary legal measures were taken.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first incident of its kind. Last March, an Egyptian mother committed a similar crime in the Abu Zaabal area in the Qalyubia governorate, where the bodies of three children were found killed by their mother who was suffering from psychological disorders.
Investigations continue to uncover the circumstances of the recent incident, while the crime raises questions about the repercussions of economic and psychological crises on family stability.
