Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty stated today, Saturday, that there can be no acceptance of equality between the Sudanese national army and state institutions on one hand, and any illegal militias on the other, affirming Cairo's firm rejection of any path that may lead to the division of Sudan.

Abdel Aty emphasized the necessity of withdrawing all mercenaries from Sudan and stopping support for militias and the flow of weapons to them, considering that the continuation of the current situation is unacceptable for Egypt, and that Cairo has "red lines" that will be dealt with decisively if crossed.

He pointed to regional and international movements to formulate a roadmap that includes a ceasefire in preparation for a comprehensive political process.
Regarding Somalia, the minister confirmed the importance of maintaining its territorial integrity, announcing Egypt's intention to deploy forces as part of the African Union mission for stabilization there.
