The relevant authorities in Egypt have referred a report against the famous artist and dancer Dina for investigation, following her opening of an academy for teaching oriental dance, accused of spreading vice and immorality and violating societal values.
The complainant, lawyer Moataz El-Sweifi, stated that using the word "school" to describe the academy undermines the concept of education, transforming it – as he claimed – into a means of spreading immorality and nudity, emphasizing that the opening of the academy and promoting dance clips in outfits he described as indecent represents incitement to immorality among youth and distorts the image of authentic Egyptian art.
The report cited several legal articles, including Article 269 bis related to incitement to immorality in public places, and Article 306 bis A concerning public decency, calling for an urgent investigation and summoning Dina for trial, and issuing a decision to close the academy to protect the values of society and the Egyptian family.
