Walid Mustafa, the husband of Carole Samaha, has passed away after a battle with illness.

Egyptian businessman and media personality Walid Mustafa, husband of Lebanese artist Carole Samaha, passed away early this Saturday, May 3, at the age of 53, after a long battle with kidney cancer.
Many public figures and media institutions mourned the deceased, and his funeral prayer is scheduled after Dhuhr prayer at the Police Mosque, followed by burial in the family cemetery in the city of Sanbelawein in Dakahlia Governorate.
A Tough Treatment Journey
The late Mustafa's struggle with the disease dates back to 2018, undergoing intensive treatment for several years, including critical periods such as a four-month hospitalization that year. Close sources revealed that the illness lasted for seven years, affecting his life and that of his family.
In a related context, Carole Samaha paused her artistic appearances for a period of time to care for her husband during his health ordeal, mentioning in previous interviews the difficulties she faced during that period.
A Rich Career in Media and Business
Walid Mustafa was born on January 15, 1972, in Giza Governorate, the only son of Egyptian official Mustafa Hassan, who served as the General Director of National Councils under the presidency.
He graduated from Cairo University and emerged as a prominent media figure, co-founding the newspaper "Al Youm Al Sabea" in 2007, serving as its chairman until 2013. During his tenure, the newspaper's website won the "Forbes" award for the best Arab website in 2010 and 2011.
He also founded the satellite channel "Al Nahar" in 2011 and the company "Sky Production," which manages the local radio "Energy Egypt" affiliated with the famous global brand.
Personal Life
Walid Mustafa married artist Carole Samaha in October 2013 after a love story brought them together, having their marriage contract in Cyprus in a civil manner. They have a daughter named Tala, and the late Mustafa has another daughter named Amina from a previous marriage.
The family kept details of his illness private, but sources confirmed that his health deteriorated after a surgery that failed to save his life.
