Alexandria witnessed a tragic incident yesterday evening, Sunday, where Father Tadros Atiyah Allah, priest of St. George's Church in the airport area, lost his life after falling from an upper floor of a building in the Moharram Bek area.

Church sources confirmed that the deceased was one of the prominent academic figures at the seminary, having served as a professor of "the New Testament," dedicating his life to church education, becoming a fundamental pillar in the theological college in Alexandria.

According to sources, all necessary legal and medical procedures were taken immediately after the incident, while the relevant authorities began investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident.

The seminary announced in an official statement its mourning for Father Tadros, indicating that the church lost a respected teacher who left a significant scientific and spiritual legacy among his students and colleagues.

The funeral prayer for the late priest is scheduled to be held this morning, Monday, at the Great Marquess Cathedral in Raml Station, attended by clergy, students, and admirers.

The incident shocked the church community in Egypt and raises questions about the safety of buildings in the area, amid widespread interaction on social media mourning and honoring the late priest.
