China Rejects Trump's Tariffs on Countries Dealing with Iran

In a clear and decisive stance, China expressed its rejection of any unilateral tariffs following U.S. President Donald Trump's statements on social media threatening to impose a 25% tariff on any country that conducts trade with Iran.
A spokesperson for the Chinese embassy in Washington said:
"China's position against arbitrary tariffs is firm and clear. Trade wars have no winners, and coercion and pressure do not solve problems."
He added: "We strongly oppose any illegal unilateral sanctions and violations of legal boundaries, and we will take all necessary measures to protect our legitimate rights and interests."
This escalation comes in the context of the United States tightening economic pressure on Tehran amid rising political and economic tensions between the two countries.
Forecasts indicate that the U.S. decision may provoke widespread international reactions due to its potential impact on Washington's trading partners.
According to U.S. officials, Trump may take military action against Iran, with the possibility of opening negotiations on the nuclear issue after any initial strike.
Experts indicate that any military escalation could lead to a significant increase in oil prices, especially since Iran exports about two million barrels per day out of an estimated production of 3.2 million barrels per day.
The world is also watching America's moves towards Venezuela, where reports speak of massive investments reflecting a political vision more than a technical market assessment.
