Britain: Two Royal Air Force planes conducted patrols near the borders of Russia

London stated that the mission was in response to repeated incursions by Russian aircraft and drones into the airspace of NATO member countries such as Poland, Romania, and Estonia.
British Defence Secretary John Healey explained that the operation "was not limited to gathering intelligence to enhance operational awareness, but also sent a strong message of NATO unity to Russian President Vladimir Putin and our adversaries."
The mission included:
- An electronic surveillance aircraft of the type RC-135 Rivet Joint.
- A maritime patrol aircraft of the type P-8A Poseidon.
- A refueling aircraft KC-135 from the U.S. Air Force.
The planes took off from the Arctic region, passing through Belarus and Ukraine, at a time when the European Union continues to discuss plans to enhance its air defenses against Russian drones.
