A flight operated by "EasyJet" made an emergency landing in Faro, Portugal, after a flight from London to Marrakech turned into chaos due to a rowdy party held by some passengers.
The flight took off from Gatwick Airport in London, heading to Marrakech, Morocco, but the behavior of a group of young people celebrating a bachelor party on board forced the pilot to change course and make an emergency landing to deal with the situation.
British media sources reported that six young men were arrested by Portuguese police upon the plane's arrival in Faro, after disturbing other passengers and mistreating the cabin crew.
Witnesses stated that two of these men continued to smoke e-cigarettes and drink alcohol despite repeated warnings from the crew, used foul language, and caused chaos, upsetting passengers, especially with children on board.
One passenger, Aaron Davies, praised the high professionalism of the cabin crew in handling the situation despite the troublemakers' behavior, commending the aviation team's resilience during the incident.
On the other hand, "EasyJet" confirmed that the safety and comfort of passengers and crew were always its top priorities, and that the cabin crew are well-trained to handle all emergency situations.
The company spokesperson added that the plane resumed its journey to Marrakech as soon as the troublemakers were removed.
This is not the first incident of its kind, as airlines like "Ryanair" and "EasyJet" have previously witnessed similar cases leading to the arrest or removal of passengers due to inappropriate behavior and flight diversions.
