In light of Israel's obstruction of efforts to stop the war, particularly by refusing entry of the Arab ministerial committee to Ramallah to meet with President Abbas, through the controlled West Bank. This Israeli rejection was followed by a series of Arab condemnations. During the press conference of the Arab Islamic ministerial committee held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Foreign Minister and committee chairman, stated that Israel's refusal to allow the Arab Islamic ministerial committee to visit the West Bank confirms "its rejection of any serious peace efforts." The Saudi Foreign Minister pointed out that the Palestinian Authority is the rational party facing a side that rejects diplomatic efforts. He mentioned that the meeting with the Palestinian President addressed reaching a ceasefire in Gaza, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the release of hostages, and the entry of aid. He emphasized that the Palestinian Authority is dealing with a party that does not want any solutions. The Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, stated that Israel's decision to prevent the Arab ministerial delegation from visiting Ramallah "reflects its arrogance and extremism." He added, "We want a just peace and work towards it, while the Israeli government continues its war on Gaza and targets Palestinians." He noted, "During the meeting with the Palestinian President, we emphasized the importance of a ceasefire in Gaza and the entry of aid." Meanwhile, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, said that Israel's refusal to allow the Arab ministerial committee to enter Ramallah to meet President Abbas is "evidence of Tel Aviv's arrogance." He continued, "We discussed with the Palestinian President the catastrophic situation in the Gaza Strip," explaining that "Israel's policy of starvation in Gaza violates the most basic human rights." He added, "We encourage France and others to take steps towards recognizing the Palestinian state." He further stated, "We extensively discussed efforts towards recognizing the Palestinian state and coordinating with France and other countries."
