Three people were killed and more than 50 others were injured following a fire at the "Marienkrankenhaus" hospital in the German city of Hamburg.

German media reported that all the fatalities were adults, with two individuals sustaining life-threatening injuries, 16 with serious injuries, and 36 with minor injuries.

Due to the widespread spread of the fire in the affected hospital, firefighting teams had to evacuate parts of it, leading the medical staff to treat some cases in the emergency department while others were transferred to nearby hospitals.
