Assala Nasri honored with an honorary membership in the Syrian Artists Syndicate in appreciation of her patriotic stance.

The Syrian Artists Syndicate granted the artist Assala Nasri an honorary membership during an extraordinary session of the syndicate council, in appreciation of her steadfast stance during the years of the Syrian revolution, and her artistic and humanitarian career.
The decision was issued by the head of the Syrian Artists Syndicate, artist Mazen al-Natour, who stated in the decision: "Based on Law No. 40 of 2019 and the internal regulations of the syndicate, on April 24, 2025, artist Assala Nasri is granted honorary membership in recognition of her artistic career and honorable national stances, in which she expressed her commitment to the rights and aspirations of the Syrian people."
This honor comes after Assala's songs returned to Syrian radio, where she commented on her Instagram account: "Free Syria... Thank God for your safety, my country," indicating the end of the ban imposed by the previous regime on her works since 2011 due to her supportive stance towards the revolution.
Assala faced repression due to her stances, being expelled from the syndicate and prevented from returning to Syria. She was also subjected to media campaigns and defamation by supporters of the previous regime. However, she remained steadfast, continuing her support for the Syrian people until the fall of the regime in December 2024.
After the change, she released the song "Syria is Paradise," calling for unity and tolerance, and wrote on social media: "The people of Syria are a mix of courage and tolerance, with this spirit, we will rebuild... We will not say the wound is fresh, but we will say: we are the children of history, and we deserve to live with dignity."
