Arrest of a fake doctor running a medical center without licenses in Egypt

The consumer protection agencies in Beheira, in cooperation with the free treatment department of the health directorate, managed to carry out intensive monitoring campaigns on medical facilities in Damanhur, resulting in the arrest of two medical centers operating without legal licenses and by unqualified medical personnel.
In a shocking surprise, a woman holding a high school diploma was arrested for running a center for dental treatment and cosmetics, impersonating a dentist and practicing the profession illegally without any medical qualifications.
A pharmacist was also arrested for running a center specialized in treating skin diseases and cosmetic skin care without the necessary licenses to practice this activity.
All medical devices and equipment used in the two centers were seized, and the facilities were closed and completely sealed, while the accused were referred to the public prosecution to take the necessary legal actions.
In her statements, the governor of Beheira, Dr. Jacqueline Aazar, emphasized the need to intensify monitoring of private medical facilities, stressing the importance of ensuring that these facilities comply with health requirements and professional standards, in order to protect the health of citizens and ensure the provision of safe and high-quality medical services.
The governor added that surprise monitoring campaigns will continue at an increasing pace to control any violations that threaten the health and safety of citizens, affirming that strict and deterrent measures will be taken against anyone practicing medical activity without justification, to protect the security and safety of the province's residents.
