Enhancing the Cold Chain in Syria: The Ministry of Health Receives New Trucks Supported by UNICEF and GAVI

In a move aimed at improving vaccine distribution in Syria, the Ministry of Health has received three modern refrigeration trucks provided by UNICEF, as part of support from the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization "GAVI".

The initiative comes as part of international efforts to strengthen the health infrastructure in the country, specifically supporting the cold chain for vaccines, to ensure their safe delivery to children and communities in various regions, contributing to increasing immunization rates and reducing the risks of infectious diseases.

These trucks are a qualitative addition to the health transport system, as they have been equipped according to international standards for transporting temperature-sensitive vaccines, which helps improve the national response to vaccination campaigns, especially in remote areas or those affected by crises.
