"Flyadeal" opens a direct route to Damascus starting in October

The decision comes after the lifting of sanctions imposed on Syria and represents a new step towards reconnecting the Kingdom with destinations that have been halted for years. According to the company's CEO, Stephen Greenway, this initiative aims to facilitate travel, support recovery efforts, and reunite Syrian families.
The first phase of operations will include three weekly flights from Jeddah, followed by four flights from Riyadh starting on October 2. Travelers can book tickets through the “flyadeal” app, the official website, or through authorized travel agents.
“Flyadeal” is one of the leading low-cost airlines in the Kingdom, operating an extensive network of flights to more than 30 domestic and international destinations, and aims to expand its operations to include over 100 destinations by 2030, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The launch of this new route is not limited to the commercial aspect but carries a humanitarian and developmental significance, as it is expected to contribute to facilitating the return of expatriates, stimulating economic activity, and enhancing regional communication after years of interruption.
