Washington speeds up steps to lift sanctions on Syria.. and confirms: "The decision takes time"

The U.S. Department of State announced that the U.S. administration is making intensive efforts to lift sanctions on Syria as soon as possible, noting that the process "takes a certain amount of time even when instructions come directly from the President."
This was stated by the official spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State, Tammy Bruce, in statements reported by Anadolu Agency, where she emphasized that President Donald Trump has taken a "clear stance" on this issue, considering that "the time has come to lift the sanctions." Bruce added that a specialized team has started working on implementing the decision, and that it will be done "quickly."
It is worth mentioning that U.S. President Donald Trump and the European Union had previously announced a decision to lift the economic sanctions imposed on Syria, which were previously imposed due to the practices of the previous regime.
According to the U.S. Department of State, the Departments of State and Treasury are working consistently to ensure the proper implementation of the decision.
