The Egyptian artist Amr Saad confirmed that he tops the list of artists in terms of market value in the Arab world, not just in Egypt, noting that this fact is well-known among channels, platforms, and producers.
Saad made these statements during an interview with the program ET بالعربي, where he explained that he has not addressed this topic for years, despite it being frequently discussed in the media and on social media.
He said: “There is no station in Egypt, platform, or producer that does not know that Amr Saad is the highest market value in the Arab world,” while also confirming that this does not mean he is the highest-paid or the best artistically.
Refusing Comparisons and Criticizing the “Illusion of Competition”
Saad emphasized that he does not prefer to engage in comparisons with his colleagues, considering that discussions about artistic conflicts or intense competition are the result of “social media” more than being a real reality in the artistic community.
He added: “I don’t see a conflict or competition; this is a fictitious phrase invented by social media,” confirming that he focuses only on his work, his audience, and looking forward.
“Ifraaj” in the Ramadan Race
Saad’s statement coincides with the airing of his new series Ifraaj during Ramadan 2026, which has achieved notable interaction across digital platforms.
The events of the work revolve around the character “Abbas Al-Rais,” who is released from prison after 15 years, burdened with regret for his past, beginning a difficult journey to seek forgiveness and atone for his mistakes. A selection of stars participates in the lead roles, including Tara Emad, Hatem Salah, Abdel Aziz Makhyoun, and Sama Ibrahim, while directing is handled by Ahmed Khaled Moussa, and production by Sadiq Al-Sabah.
Between Numbers and Impressions
Amr Saad’s statements reopened the discussion about the concept of “market value” in Arab drama, and the difference between public popularity, salary, and artistic influence. While Saad believes that the numbers speak for him, he leaves the final judgment to the audience, who remains the decisive factor in the equation of stardom.
