American woman passes away after her manager sits on her

The family of an American woman mourned their daughter Jessica McCloughlin, 24, after her death following doctors' decision to remove life support from her following a "violent" assault by the manager of the 7-Eleven store where she worked, on Tuesday, June 24, in Los Angeles, as reported by American media.
Jessica's sister reported that the incident began when the manager threw a bottle towards Jessica, then "grabbed her, sat on her chest, and prevented her from breathing." Meanwhile, other colleagues who tried to intervene were also assaulted by the manager.
Police found Jessica unconscious and unable to breathe, and she was transported to Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital, where doctors declared her brain dead due to oxygen deprivation. On July 2, the family made the decision to disconnect life support after losing hope of her recovery.
Additional information indicates that the manager, named Valeria Barr, fled the scene on a bicycle after attempting to delete surveillance camera recordings from the store's storage, as confirmed by the family on their "GoFundMe" page. The police have not issued a statement regarding her arrest so far.
