After the report of her disappearance.. Masyaf security discovers a citizen's involvement in a fake kidnapping and fraud

In conjunction with intensifying security efforts to ensure the stability of the area, the Internal Security Directorate in Masyaf announced the details of a case involving the disappearance of a citizen, which involved her planning a fake kidnapping for the purpose of fraud.
According to a statement by Brigadier General "Ibrahim Al-Mawas", Director of the Internal Security Directorate in the Masyaf area, "security units began investigating another report regarding the loss of contact with the citizen (Sh.S) from the village of Deir Shmeil after she returned from work."
Al-Mawas added: "Initial investigations, which included reviewing surveillance cameras and questioning witnesses, showed no signs of a kidnapping incident."
The precise tracking of the investigation led to locating the missing person with two individuals in a house on the outskirts of Masyaf. Under the authorization of the public prosecutor, the site was raided, where narcotic substances and a personal weapon were seized.
Subsequent investigations revealed intriguing details, as Brigadier General Al-Mawas explained: "Investigations revealed that the three individuals had planned to claim a fake kidnapping incident for financial fraud against her family, in addition to their involvement in illegal activities including drug use and prostitution."
The Director of Internal Security confirmed that "all those involved have been referred to the competent judiciary to complete legal procedures in accordance with the applicable regulations," considering this a routine procedure following such cases.
He also called on citizens "to exercise accuracy and responsibility when reporting cases of disappearance, and to cooperate with the relevant authorities away from spreading rumors that may harm public security."
