A Syrian Judicial Delegation to Visit Lebanon Soon to Discuss Common Files

The Lebanese presidency announced today, Monday, that a Syrian judicial delegation will visit Beirut in the coming days, as part of the coordination between the two countries to discuss pending judicial files.

Official sources clarified that the visit comes as a continuation of the recent communications between the two sides, especially after the visit of Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaybani to Lebanon last week, where issues of judicial cooperation and cases of detainees and wanted individuals between the two countries were addressed.

This step is considered an indication of the return of momentum to Lebanese-Syrian relations at the judicial level, after years of stagnation, with expectations that the visit will open the door to the formation of joint committees to follow up on files of a security and legal nature.
