Intelligent Crow Knocks on Hospital Door in Germany Seeking Help

In a rare and unusual incident, an intelligent sea crow appeared at the emergency department of a hospital in Bremen, northwest Germany, carrying a fishing hook stuck in its beak, and began to knock on the glass continuously until it was noticed by one of the staff.
The police stated in a report that the bird continued to tap on the emergency entrance doors, prompting the medical staff to contact the civil defense department, which sent rescue teams to the site.
Thanks to the "excellent cooperation" between the rescuers and the medical team, they were able to remove the fishing hook and treat the injury the bird sustained.
After that, the crow was released into the wild within the hospital gardens, returning to its normal life.
The sea crow is known to be a large water bird with shiny black feathers, a long neck, and a sharp hooked beak.
These birds are usually very shy of humans, making their unusual request for help a special and unique event.
The rescue department warned about the dangers of fishing hooks getting stuck in birds' beaks, as this can lead to infections and severe pain, and even starvation if the bird cannot feed normally.
This incident demonstrates the intelligence of the crow and its ability to communicate indirectly with humans, serving as a strong reminder of the importance of protecting wildlife and being cautious of the dangers of irresponsible fishing.
