The Chairman of the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority, Omar Al-Hosari, announced on Thursday via the (X) platform the signing of an official agreement between Syrian Airlines and the global company SITA, aimed at introducing the advanced CUTE system and updating the technical infrastructure of travel systems at Syrian airports.

The new system allows all airlines to use unified platforms for baggage weight procedures and boarding passes, along with advanced services including electronic baggage tracking, modern reservation systems, network connectivity between airports and stations, and secure communications.

The implementation of the agreement is scheduled to begin within the next four months, contributing to enhancing operational efficiency, providing a smoother and faster travel experience for passengers, reducing costs, and improving the quality of air services.

Al-Hosari described the step as a strategy to prepare Syrian airports for the next phase and connect them with international aviation standards, as part of a comprehensive update of the digital infrastructure of the air transport sector in Syria.
