41 Humanitarian Organizations Call on Israel to Open Aid Corridors to Gaza

41 international and local organizations operating in the Gaza Strip issued a joint statement calling on the Israeli authorities to allow the immediate and unconditional flow of humanitarian aid to the sector, warning that the continued restrictions on the entry of essential materials exacerbates the humanitarian crisis in an unprecedented manner.

The statement indicated that Israel continues to arbitrarily prevent the entry of life-saving supplies, including water, food, tents, and medical supplies, which threatens the lives of thousands of civilians, especially in light of the collapse of the health and food infrastructure in the sector.

The organizations that signed the statement emphasized that depriving the population of essential aid is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, and called on the international community to pressure Israel to open the crossings and allow relief to reach without obstacles.
