In a new development of the hit-and-run incident involving an Egyptian employee at the electricity company, the victim's lawyer accused the young artist Noor Al-Nobi of evading payment of appropriate compensations.
The incident, which occurred when the artist hit the employee Wael Sameer, resulted in the latter suffering a leg fracture. What started as a tragic accident has evolved into a controversial issue.
According to the victim's lawyer, Amr El-Qadi, in a phone call on the program "Kalam Al-Nas" on "MBC Egypt," the artist Noor Al-Nobi initially showed sympathy towards the victim, speaking to him politely inquiring about his health and family, assuring that he wouldn't abandon him in his ordeal.
However, things took a different turn when the artist's assistants, who quickly arrived, intervened and asked him to leave the scene of the accident.
Although the assistants initially seemed willing to stay with the victim to ensure his well-being, they disappeared completely afterwards, causing frustration to the lawyer.
The financial negotiations between the two parties initially included an offer to pay 50,000 pounds, then the amount increased to 150,000 pounds after discovering that the victim would need treatment for a period of six months.
Despite the lawyer's attempts to convince his client to file a report against the artist, the victim initially refused, apologizing for not taking this step based on his personal promise to the artist.
However, with the artist and his assistants disappearing and not responding to the lawyer's calls, the latter was forced to file an official report against Noor Al-Nobi.
In an unconventional move, the lawyer announced that he would demand a drug test for the artist, due to suspicions about his erratic behavior during the incident. The victim's lawyer concluded his statement with a message to the artist saying: "The solution is still in your hands."
