Mohammed Qouaid has returned to coach the Syrian club Al-Karama, after a period of work in the United Arab Emirates.
Al-Karama club officially announced the appointment of Mohammed Qouaid as the technical director of the first team, replacing the former coach Fajr Ibrahim, whose contract was mutually terminated. This appointment comes hours after all administrative, service, financial staff were relieved of their duties, and all sports technical staff were dissolved.
In a statement on the "X" platform, the club clarified that Mohammed Qouaid will return to the team where he had his major breakthrough in the coaching world, especially since the team is currently leading the Syrian League table for the 2024-2025 season at the end of the fifth round, before the league resumes.
Qouaid served as the head coach of the team between 2006 and 2007, leading the club to achieve four consecutive league titles starting from 2006, in addition to winning four consecutive local cups starting from 2007.
Qouaid also achieved a continental achievement with the club when he led them to the final match of the Asian Championship in 2006.
The return of the veteran coach comes as part of the club's preparations for the new sports season, where he will take on the responsibility of leading the first team technically.
