Syria's women's national team participates in the first matches of the West Asia Championship.

The Syrian national women's football team under 20 is playing its first match in the 5th West Asian Championship today, Sunday, April 6th, against the Jordanian team at 7:00 PM on the Aqaba Stadium.
The championship, running until April 12th, features the participation of 4 teams: Jordan, Palestine, Kuwait, and Syria, in a competition considered an important preparatory stage for upcoming continental events.
The Syrian team's head coach, Salim Jablawi, emphasized the team's commitment to delivering a commendable performance. The 10-day training camp in Damascus focused on functional exercises to enhance physical and technical readiness, as well as boosting the players' psychological and morale aspects. He expressed hope for the team's improvement as the matches progress.
According to the official schedule, the tournament kicks off today with Kuwait facing Palestine at 4:00 PM, followed by Syria against Jordan in the evening.
In the second round on April 8th, Syria will play against Kuwait at 4:00 PM, followed by Palestine versus Jordan at 7:00 PM.
On April 10th, in the third round, the Syrian team will meet Palestine at 4:00 PM, while Jordan will face Kuwait in the evening.
It's worth mentioning that the tournament follows a single-stage league system, where all teams play each other. The top two teams will qualify for the final match, while the third and fourth will compete for final rankings, concluding on April 12th.
