The specialized site "Downdetector" announced the return of the social media platforms "X" and "Reddit" to operation after experiencing disruptions on Thursday, March 27, affecting thousands of users in the United States.
According to the official status page of "Reddit," the issue began at 3:16 PM Eastern Time, with the platform stating that "repairs have been made and we are monitoring the results."
"Downdetector" recorded over 33,000 reports from users facing difficulties accessing the site during the peak of the outage.
As for "X" platform, it experienced disruptions around 3:03 PM at the same time, with approximately 18,000 reports of service issues.
It is worth noting that the mentioned numbers are based on user reports, meaning the actual number of affected users could be higher.
