Iraq Issues Arrest Warrant for Poet Abdul Hussein Hayel on Charges of "Assaulting Religious Beliefs"

An Iraqi investigative court specialized in publishing and media issues issued an arrest and search warrant today, Tuesday, against the poet Abdul Hussein Hayel.

According to a document issued by the court, the arrest warrant was issued on charges of "publicly assaulting religious beliefs".

The document instructs to bring him in secretly, as he is accused in the complaint filed against him by the Ministry of Interior.
