The Director of the World Health Organization announced today, Friday, that the organization's teams managed to transfer three critically ill newborns from the city of Gaza to Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, amid difficult humanitarian conditions and a severe shortage of medical services.

In contrast, the official confirmed that a fourth child died this morning before the medical mission could reach him, noting that this painful event reflects the extent of the deterioration in the health system within the besieged sector.

The organization's director said: "We renew our call to protect healthcare and ensure the unhindered access of humanitarian and medical aid to Gaza," amid the ongoing Israeli aggression and restrictions on relief movement.

This statement comes at a time when international warnings of a complete collapse of the health system are increasing, amid power outages and shortages of fuel and medicines, threatening the lives of thousands of patients, especially children and newborns.
