Widespread Outage Hits Google Services Worldwide

The platform "DownDetector", specialized in tracking digital service outages, reported that Google’s servers experienced a major disruption, causing service outages for thousands of users across several countries.
The platform mentioned on Thursday, September 4, that "reports began to pour in from America, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, and other countries in Eastern Europe", noting that "the outage is widespread and affects essential services".
The search engine was the most affected service overall, as issues related to it accounted for the majority share of the total complaints recorded by the platform, at 52%. Meanwhile, technical problems faced by the site itself, such as page outages or unresponsiveness, ranked second with 34% of the reports. Login issues ranked third and last with a lower percentage of 14%.
Service outages included major applications such as YouTube, where users faced error messages, in addition to Google Maps failing to display data or calculate routes. The main engine also struggled to complete search operations, alongside some users reporting issues with the email service.
