The "WhatsApp" application owned by "Meta" is preparing to launch a new feature that will change the way users interact with the chatbot "Meta AI."
This feature, available in the beta version on Android, allows users to store personal details in the chatbot's memory upon their request, making the interaction with the application more personalized.
Thanks to this addition, users will be able to inform "Meta AI" about details such as their profession or interests, so the robot can use this information to provide tailored suggestions.
For example, if a user informs the robot that they work as a graphic designer, "Meta AI" will store this information and start offering recommendations for professional design tools and software, or even the latest industry trends.
The feature goes beyond just providing work suggestions; when requesting restaurant recommendations, users can specify their dietary preferences, such as being vegetarian, to receive recommendations that adhere to those preferences, completely avoiding non-vegetarian options.
With this new memory, the chatbot will become more like an advanced personal assistant, learning and adapting its interactions based on the information the user chooses to share with it.
However, there is no need to worry about privacy, as the robot will not mention or remember any details from other conversations within "WhatsApp," since messages are fully encrypted between parties.
Users will have full control over the stored information, being able to review, edit, or even delete it at any time, to ensure the accuracy of recommendations and interaction with the robot.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of "Meta," announced this feature earlier, stating that it will be part of upcoming "WhatsApp" updates after initial testing.
Currently, the feature is available to a limited number of testers, and it is expected to be gradually rolled out to the rest of the users in the coming weeks.
