Washington announces the opening of a center for the reconstruction of Gaza and reaffirms its commitment to the peace plan

Vance confirmed that the implementation of Trump's plan regarding Gaza is proceeding better than expected, emphasizing that some manifestations of violence do not mean the end of the peaceful path, but rather that the situation is "excellent and we are achieving amazing accomplishments," as he put it.
For his part, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff stated that signing the Gaza agreement was a "great challenge," but the most important phase lies in applying its provisions on the ground, noting that developments have exceeded expectations.
Meanwhile, U.S. advisor Jared Kushner pointed out that the parties in conflict in Gaza are "transitioning from two years of war to an era of peace," confirming that there has been progress in recovering the bodies of hostages, and that the second phase of the agreement is being completed, amid significant coordination between Israel and the United Nations regarding humanitarian aid.
Vance stressed that the agreement will hold, and that there is no intention to deploy U.S. forces on the ground in Gaza, adding that "each country has its role in implementing the ceasefire, and we will not impose anything on any ally." He also noted that the funds allocated for reconstruction will not be directed to areas controlled by Hamas, calling on the movement to hand over its weapons and act responsibly, with the possibility of granting amnesty to fighters within future security arrangements.
In a related context, Vance confirmed that recovering the bodies of hostages is a difficult task that requires patience, and that the locations of some bodies remain unknown, stressing the need to ensure the security of Gaza's residents and to create a stable environment for coexistence between Palestinians and Israelis.
Regarding Iran, Vance stated that the United States wants it to "prosper," but will not allow it to acquire nuclear weapons, and will use all diplomatic means to prevent that.
