U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated in remarks reported by Israeli Channel 12 on Saturday that Washington is considering additional steps to increase pressure on Hamas in order to recover the remains of the hostages who died during their captivity in Gaza.
During his meeting with the families of several abductees, Rubio emphasized that "the United States will never forget the hostages who lost their lives in captivity," stressing that diplomatic and security efforts will continue until their remains are fully recovered.
These remarks come amid rising demands within the U.S. administration to take more decisive action against Hamas, alongside regional and international efforts to address the humanitarian issue related to the abductees.
