The United Nations warns: civilians in El Fasher are trapped and the roads are unsafe for escape

The UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan, Denise Brown, issued an urgent appeal, warning that civilians in the city of El Fasher are trying to flee the escalating violence, but the routes they are taking are "not safe at all," amid the continued control of the Rapid Support Forces over the city.

The United Nations called on the Rapid Support Forces to provide safe humanitarian corridors to allow civilians to exit, and demanded the immediate allowance for relief teams to access the city to provide emergency assistance, amid reports of massacres and serious violations.
