Since the start of the 2025 Ramadan season, social media has been ablaze with heated debates about TV series soundtracks, with some praising their creativity while others disliking certain musical choices. The song from the series "Under the Seventh Earth" sparked the most controversy, as it was presented by the Syrian artist in an unprecedented experiment for him. Although the song gained wide popularity and trended, some viewers felt it did not align with the style the artist is known for, leading some to describe it as a "musical misstep." However, the artist wasted no time in responding, humorously commenting on X platform on Tuesday: "I have to confess, the last song was a misstep... fell from trend 1, to trend 1 and top 10 globally." He cryptically added: "See you after Ramadan with all new things ☹️," hinting at upcoming surprises for his audience. The song, released by the artist a week ago on his YouTube channel, has already surpassed 4 million views to date. It carried his signature in lyrics and melodies, while Elian Dabs handled the musical distribution. Regarding this work, the artist stated that it represents a unique and exceptional experience: "This song is a special case, very different... unlike anything I've done before. I was creating it while enjoying its darkness and sadness. For the first time in my life, I'm talking about something very personal and not sung every day... for the first time, I will present this dark side of me in this way." The song carries heavy and shocking meanings, touching on the inevitable demise of humans, regardless of their greatness or status, as well as addressing life's pains, from betrayal and struggles that never end. Despite all the controversy, the question remains: Was the song "Under the Seventh Earth" a successful adventure? Or did the artist defy expectations in a way not accepted by everyone?
