In an unprecedented cinematic achievement, the Chairman of the Entertainment Authority, Counselor Turki Al-Sheikh, announced that the Saudi film "7Dogs" has entered the Guinness World Records after breaking two world records that reflect the qualitative leap in the film industry in the Kingdom.
Al-Sheikh confirmed through his official account on "Instagram" that this great success was achieved with direct support from His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in collaboration with security agencies and the "Al-Husn Big Time" studios in the capital, Riyadh, indicating that the film represents a new phase of creativity and artistic production at the regional and global level.
* Surpassing the James Bond Series
The film achieved two world records related to cinematic effects and explosions, as follows:
It broke the record for the largest cinematic explosion in the history of cinema, surpassing the film "Spectre"(2015) which recorded 68.47 tons of TNT, by executing an explosion with an enormous force of 170.7 tons of TNT.
It shattered the record for the largest explosion of explosive materials in a single scene, surpassing the film "NoTimeToDie"(2021) which used 136.4 kg of explosive materials, as a scene was executed with a quantity of 405.85 kg of TNT.
* A Qualitative Leap for Saudi Cinema
Al-Sheikh added that this achievement is a culmination of the tremendous development in the infrastructure of the artistic production sector in Saudi Arabia, and comes within the targets of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to empower the Kingdom to be a regional hub for the cinema and entertainment industry.
"7Dogs" is considered the first film to be fully shot in the "Al-Husn Big Time" studios in Riyadh, bringing together a selection of stars from Arab cinema, including Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz, and directed by the international duo Adel & Belal.
The film is expected to be released soon, amidst local and global audience anticipation, as it is expected to be a landmark in the history of Saudi and Arab cinema, not only in terms of story and performance but also in the field of technologies, effects, and massive production that competes with the largest Hollywood productions.
With this achievement, Saudi cinema enters a new era of leadership, driven by significant support from the leadership and ambitious aspirations for the Kingdom to be a pivotal player in the global entertainment industry.
