UN Report: Israel Practices Policies Aimed at Imposing Permanent Control over Gaza and the West Bank

An independent international commission of inquiry established by the United Nations announced that the Israeli government is pursuing policies aimed at imposing permanent control over the Gaza Strip and ensuring a Jewish majority in the West Bank and within Israel.
The commission's report, set to be presented to the General Assembly in October, indicated that Israeli authorities have committed four acts of genocide in Gaza, through widespread destruction of infrastructure and depriving the population of basic resources. It also confirmed that the policies implemented in the West Bank, including settlement expansion and support for settler attacks, aim to displace Palestinians and prevent the establishment of a state for them.
The report accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several senior ministers of responsibility for war crimes and crimes against humanity, and called on Israel to stop the genocide in Gaza, end its occupation of Palestinian territories, and immediately dismantle the settlements.
