Trump's Red Neck Rash Raises Questions and His Doctor Explains the Reason

U.S. President Donald Trump appeared at an event in the White House with a noticeable red rash covering the right side of his neck, raising questions about his health condition.
His personal physician Sean Parabilla explained in a statement to AFP that the president is using a very common ointment on the right side of his neck as a preventive skin treatment prescribed by the White House doctor, confirming that the president started the treatment a week ago and expects the redness to last several weeks.
Photos showed Trump's neck, at 79 years old, covered with a red spot with prominent brown scales above the collar of his shirt, while he had previously been seen with bruises on his hands, which the White House attributed to aspirin use.
Speculation about his health has arisen due to swelling in his legs and several moments where he appeared to doze off during public events.
It is noted that the White House revealed last summer that the swelling in his legs was diagnosed as one of the symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition caused by malfunctioning vein valves, leading to blood pooling, swelling, cramps, and skin changes.
For his part, Trump denied in January any difficulties with hearing or that he dozes off during events, affirming his habit of getting little sleep.
It is noted that Trump is the second oldest American to hold the presidency after Joe Biden, who left office in 2025 at the age of 82 after opting not to run for a second term in 2024.
