Axios reported today, Friday, that U.S. President Donald Trump is planning to hold an international summit on Gaza during his visit to Egypt next week, as part of efforts to solidify a ceasefire agreement and discuss post-war arrangements.

According to informed sources, the summit is likely to be held next Tuesday, with the possibility of moving it to Monday, to be hosted by the city of Sharm El Sheikh. Reports indicated that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is leading the arrangements for the summit, after inviting several European and Arab leaders.

It is expected that representatives from European countries such as Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Italy will participate in the summit, along with Arab and Islamic countries including Qatar, the UAE, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Indonesia.

American sources indicated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may not attend the meeting at this stage.

The summit, according to observers, aims to garner international support for Trump's plan regarding Gaza, especially on issues related to governance, security, and reconstruction, which remain contentious among the concerned parties.
