U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday that member countries in what he described as the "Council of Peace" have pledged more than $5 billion to support humanitarian efforts and reconstruction in Gaza.

He added that the same countries committed to sending thousands of personnel to participate in a stabilization force in the sector, emphasizing the need for Hamas to fulfill its obligations regarding the complete and immediate disarmament.

Trump considered the Council of Peace to be "the most important international body in history," expressing pride in serving as its president.
