Israeli police rescued two soldiers today, Sunday, after they were attacked by hundreds of Haredi Jews in the city of Bnei Brak, following their refusal of compulsory military service.
Reports indicated that the soldiers were accused of going to the city to distribute conscription orders, which the Israeli army denied. During their pursuit, riots broke out in the area, before police intervened to safely extract them.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the incident as "serious and completely unacceptable," emphasizing the need to maintain order.
