The U.S. State Department appoints Stephen Fagin as the civilian leader of the coordination center in Gaza

The U.S. State Department announced today, Friday, the appointment of Ambassador Stephen Fagin to lead the civilian coordination center dedicated to supporting the implementation of President Donald Trump's plan in the Gaza Strip, in a move aimed at enhancing humanitarian and political efforts in the region.

The department stated that the center will coordinate civil and humanitarian operations in collaboration with regional and international partners, to ensure stability and improve living conditions in Gaza, especially in the post-ceasefire phase.

Fagin is considered a seasoned diplomat, having previously served as the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, and has held positions in Yemen and Erbil, possessing extensive experience in Middle Eastern affairs and crisis management.
