The Egyptian Pound Falls by 76 Piasters Against the Dollar Over a Week

Data from the Central Bank of Egypt showed that the average price of the Egyptian pound in Egyptian banks dropped by about 76 piasters against the US dollar during this week's transactions.

By the end of transactions on Thursday, the pound recorded a level of 47.54 pounds for buying and 47.64 pounds for selling per dollar.

This decline comes amid a partial exit of foreign investors from local treasury bills, which increased pressure on the local currency due to rising demand for the dollar.
