The municipal stadium in the city of Manbij witnessed the launch of the "Manbij Rescue" community campaign on Friday evening, which successfully raised financial donations exceeding $11 million during its opening ceremony. These funds will be directed to finance vital development projects and contribute to reconstruction efforts and the improvement of services and living conditions in rural eastern Aleppo.

A wide range of activities participated in the campaign, including economic and community figures, representatives of war victims and martyrs' families, along with organizations supporting sustainable development programs.

In a special statement, Malik Ibrahim, the head of the Manbij area office, explained that "Manbij is the largest administrative area in Syria with a high population density, and it has suffered in recent years from the practices of the fallen regime on one hand and the brutality of ISIS and the SDF militia on the other, resulting in significant destruction and a worsening humanitarian situation in the area; thus, the 'Manbij Rescue' community campaign comes as a new hope that injects life into many development projects within the early recovery path."

For his part, Abdul Malik Al-Sheikh, the municipalities official in the Manbij area, stated that the campaign will enhance government efforts by helping to provide essential services, especially in the sectors of water and sanitation, road maintenance, and supporting the 12 municipalities operating between the city and its countryside.

Ali Khalil, the director of the Manbij educational complex, pointed out the pivotal role of the campaign in advancing the education sector and securing the basic supplies to ensure the educational process, which serves about 150,000 students, and working on rehabilitating the destroyed schools that need urgent maintenance.

In the health sector, Abdul Basit Ibrahim, the director of the National Hospital of Manbij, said: "The 'Manbij Rescue' community campaign will provide the necessary support for the medical sector, contributing to the rehabilitation of the only hospital serving the city of Manbij and its countryside, in addition to activating the destroyed clinics and the ambulance system with a total amount reaching one and a half million US dollars."

Mundhir Al-Sallal, director of the "Stability Support Unit" organization, expressed the reasons for participation, saying: "We participated today in the 'Manbij Rescue' community campaign believing in the importance of local capital and community solidarity in contributing to the recovery processes of the region," explaining that "the city of Manbij and its countryside have witnessed significant destruction at the hands of the fallen regime and ISIS, which negatively affected the educational, health, and basic service realities that are being restored with the launch of the campaign."

The "Manbij Rescue" campaign comes as part of a series of community initiatives taking place in various Syrian provinces and cities, aimed at enhancing civil work and emphasizing the importance of partnership among all components of society to elevate the service and economic reality, and to instill a culture of giving to contribute to building a better future for the people of Syria.
